Cricket
Cricket at Northern United Sports Club caters for all children in the Northern Suburbs of Hamilton City and a little beyond.
We started in 2022/23 to catch the kids that may not have had enough classmates to create a team. Many clubs have followed to help children across Hamilton play cricket.
Our mission is to get kids playing cricket, we are not running anything elite, we just want kids to have fun and fall in love with the game. We currently cater for kids up to year 8.
We are associated with the Hamilton Cricket Association and enter teams into their competitions. The season is split into term 4 and term 1, we do our best to keep teams together, but there is a fair bit of code switching that happens! Each term is 7 or 8 weeks long, games last between 2 and 3 hours (longer as the kids get older).
