Girls Football 2026 – Bigger, Bolder, and Ready to Kick Off!
After an outstanding season celebrating the talent and growth of our Girls and Women’s football teams, we’re gearing up for an even bigger 2026 — and we want you on the journey!
We’re expanding skills development, strengthening player pathways, and creating more opportunities for girls to thrive on and off the pitch. Whether you're new to the game or ready to take your skills to the next level, there’s something for everyone.
Term 4 Girls-Only Academy Skills Development Program Details:
Dates for girls aged 12 - 15:
• Wednesday 5 November, 5pm
• Wednesday 12 November, 5pm
• Wednesday 19 November, 5pm
• Wednesday 26 November, 5pm
• Wednesday 3 December, 5pm
• Wednesday 10 December, 5pm
We will also host an Information Evening on Monday 13th October, 7:30 pm at the Rototuna Library. Here we will share our plans and approach to developing Girls & Women’s football at NorthernUnited.
Those top New Zealand Coaches who will lead sessions throughout the 6 week program will include:
Che Bunce – Our very own Director of Football and Ex- All White who has been a Head Coach of Waikato FC in the National league, a National Development Officer for NZ Football and founded the Waikato University Football Academy
Scott Granville - Scott is born and bred in the Waikato and has coached here in NZ and inthe USA. Scott, a US university scholar, also ran successful youth coaching programs in NewYork City.
The cost is only $100 for all 6 sessions which include access to these high-quality coaches, and an NUSC Training shirt (or $80 if you already own the NUSC Training shirt).
