Welcome to the 6-a-side Summer League at Northern United: Bigger, Better, and More Exciting Than Ever!

We are thrilled to announce that Northern United is once again hosting its highly anticipated 6-a-side Summer League, now in its fourth year!

This year, we are taking the Summer League to new heights by introducing several exciting changes to cater to all abilities and interests. To ensure a fair and engaging experience, we will be splitting the league and hosting matches over two unforgettable nights of football. Tuesdays will feature the exciting clashes of Men's and Women's, while Thursdays will showcase the fierce competition among Mixed teams.

We will also be using last year location for the league—Ashurst Park! With its well-lit grounds, we can now push game start times later, allowing for an even more enjoyable evening of football for everyone.

Northern United's 6-a-side Summer League is all about fostering camaraderie, promoting sportsmanship, and celebrating the beautiful game of football. With our increased capacity, age-specific divisions, and enhanced facilities at Ashurst Park, we are confident that this year's edition will be the best one yet.

Whether you're a seasoned player looking for a thrilling challenge or a new talent eager to make your mark, there's a spot for you at our Summer League. So, dust off your boots, gather your teammates, and get ready for an unforgettable footballing summer at Northern United! Senior Teams (15+)

  • The league will be split into Social and Competitive after grading in the first round (7 games)
  • Teams can be either
    • Mens / Womens Teams on a Tuesday night
    • Mixed Teams on a Thursday night
  • Mixed teams must have at least one person of each gender on the field at any given time
  • 14 weeks of competition (+ 1 week reserved either side of Christmas for any postponements) 
  • There will be a prize for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each league

Details 

  • Team Manager’s enter a team and are also responsible for finding players to make up their team
  • Subject to weather,  the league runs Tuesday & Thursday evenings 6pm-9pm approx.
  • The Senior Mens Teams competition will run for 14 weeks starting Tuesday 28th October 2025 through to Tuesday 3rd March 2026
  • The Senior Mixed Teams competition will run for 14 weeks starting Thursday 30th October 2025 through to Tuesday 5th March 2026
  • Games will comprise two 20-minute halves 
  • Six players are on the field including the Goalkeeper (maximum of ten players per team per night) 
  • Referees will be supplied for all games 
  • All leagues are subject to sufficient team entries

  • Senior Team Price - $500 per team
